Defined Mind is a bootstrapped, sister and brother team based in Chicago, created out of a dream to reinvent better games. We want to harness the deeply engaging qualities of gaming, and use them for self-improvement and education. Our mission is to empower individuals to unlock doors of knowledge through gaming. Part of our vision is to work closely with educators so we can build better tools, and provide opportunities to give back to teachers. We grew up without much money, but both of our parents were educators who taught us the value of learning. Hard work and never-ending education brought success in our lives, and we desire to pay it forward by helping all people — disadvantaged and privileged alike — empower themselves through games. We believe education is the great equalizer, games are the best engager, and we’re all in this together.
